Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Rooms and cleanliness score low — The category score is 5/10, the lowest of the four. One guest described the hotel as not ugly and the price as good, but said the room and cleaning were only acceptable and that they would prefer something better.
  • Breakfast gets mixed reviews — Dining scores 6/10, and guest feedback ranges from 'ok' to 'great' depending on the stay.
  • Service can be inconsistent — Although many guests praised the staff, one reviewer said only one person was nice, and another noted that a receptionist did not speak English at all.
  • Pets are not allowed — The hotel does not accept pets, so travellers with dogs or cats will need to look elsewhere.

“The location was a 20-minute walk from the Colosseum, which meant we could visit it every day. It's also close to San Giovanni and Santa Maria Maggiore, and close to Termini and the tram and bus stops that go to Trastevere or the Colosseum. The room was large and spacious, with a proper bathroom and air conditioning, and there was a fridge for keeping water and snacks cold. The staff were nice and attentive to requests, though getting the air conditioning adjusted required some effort.”

6.9Verified guest

“The staff were very attentive, warning us about the areas to avoid at night and answering every question. For what we paid for three nights, the quality-price ratio was good. I had read many negative reviews, and in my opinion they were exaggerated.”

“Breakfast was okay. Some staff members were fine, but one of them didn't speak English at all.”

“The room and cleaning were acceptable and the hotel is not ugly, but only one person was nice. The price was good, yet I would prefer something better. Don't buy bus tickets: many Italians get on through the back doors and don't validate, so only tourists do. There are many Hindu restaurants in the area, not the best; around Termini, chicken restaurants offer lots of variety at good prices. For transfers, Terravision is more consistent and drops off beside Termini; Sit Shuttle leaves every hour and if it's full they still let you board, meaning you may not reach your flight on time.”
